Canon Powershot S400

I have been asked what camera I use for taking pictures that you can see in the Photo Gallery. Most of the pictures on the website were taken with a Canon Powershot S400.

I’m very pleased with the Canon Powershot S400. We have sent many to London Drugs to get printed as normal size prints (5×7) and you can not tell the difference between film. This model is a 4 mega pixel camera and they say you can print up to 8×10 but I think it would start looking grainy at that size.

Battery life is quite good, but I would recommend as spare battery as the last thing you want to have happen is the batter die and you miss being able to take a picture. I have a 256 MB memory card I use with the camera as the 32 MB card that comes with it is just to small. My 256 MB card can store about 100 pictures. Memory Cards come in varying speeds and with taking pictures faster is defiantly better. The features for picture control are quite extensive and to be honest I use auto for every thing but the flash as I sometimes like to use the flash in bright daylight to fill shadows.

Personally I would recommend the Canon S400 to anyone who wants a small light weight digital camera with a large feature set at a reasonable price.
