Grilled Cuban Plantains, Mango, And Jamaican Rum Soaked Pears
Ingredients:
- 2 plantains, sliced on bias
- 2 mangos, cleaned, wedged
- 100ml jamaican rum
- 4 pears, peeled, cored, wedged
- 15ml lemon juice
Optional
- 250ml whipping cream
- 25 ml icing sugar
- whip, and refridgerate
Directions:
- Prepare pears, add and coat with lemon juice
- Place pears in bowl, add rum. For better results soak pears for at least 4 hours, refridgerated
- Preheat bbq, season lightly with oil
- Place fruits on bbq
- Turn once grill marks have been achieved on each side
- Fruits will caramelize on grill. Emitting a nice, sweet, sugar flavour
- Serve with a dollop of whipped cream
