Grilled Cuban Plantains, Mango, And Jamaican Rum Soaked Pears

Ingredients:

  • 2 plantains, sliced on bias
  • 2 mangos, cleaned, wedged
  • 100ml jamaican rum
  • 4 pears, peeled, cored, wedged
  • 15ml lemon juice

Optional

  • 250ml whipping cream
  • 25 ml icing sugar
  • whip, and refridgerate

Directions:

  1. Prepare pears, add and coat with lemon juice
  2. Place pears in bowl, add rum. For better results soak pears for at least 4 hours, refridgerated
  3. Preheat bbq, season lightly with oil
  4. Place fruits on bbq
  5. Turn once grill marks have been achieved on each side
  6. Fruits will caramelize on grill. Emitting a nice, sweet, sugar flavour
  7. Serve with a dollop of whipped cream
