Grilled Fruit Kebobs with Honey Cardamon Syrup

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 pineapple, cubed
  • 1 peach, sliced
  • 1 banana
  • 16 strawberries
  • Yoghurt
  • Honey Cardamon syrup
  • 2 tblsp. Honey
  • 20 gr.unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamon
  • 2 tblsp. Rum or brandy
  • 1 tblsp. Soft brown sugar

Directions:

  1. Soak 8 wooden skewers in cold water for 20 minutes
  2. Thread the fruit onto skewer, and place in a shallow pan.
  3. Prepare the syrup; combine all the ingredients in a bowl
  4. Pour the mixture over top of the kebabs and let sit for 1 hour
  5. Cook the kebobs on a hot, lightly heated bbq. flat plate or under the griller for 5 minutes
  6. Serve the remaining syrup over top and add a dollop of yoghurt or cream
